The Gracie Barra Schools in Oceanside and Del Mar are well known in the San Diego County Martial Arts community for its commitment to teaching high level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Our Black Belt Professor Marcelo Pereira is a 4-time Pan-American Champion who has not only achieved success in competitons but has also been able to pass his knowledge of BJJ to his students as well. Marcelo Pereira has lead 4 of his students to Black Belt: Ricardo Guiamares, Angelo Paranhos, Larry Lyons, and Dominic Parker. Marcelo has coached his students to multiple championships including the World, International Masters and Seniors, Pan-American and American National Championships as well as many tournaments held locally.
